Megs

Ok, This is Devin here and I'm new to this blogging thing so sorry if the format isn't great. Megs doesn't know I'm posting these pics but they were just so cute that I have to show them to the world. I'm also hoping to score some major points with Meghan by doing this! Anyways, my family came in town and we went four wheelin. Megs decided to come along for a mild ride. I asked her to pose in some cute positions and this is what we got.

As you can see, Megs has a very fun and spunky personality and is always up for having some fun and trying new things. We are expecting a baby boy in September and Meghan is the cutest pregnant woman I've ever seen. Before she got pregnant I told her that pregnant women scared me and it bothered me that they were always munching. But Meghan just gets cuter the more pregnant she gets.
When we were dating quite a few people who were close to us thought that we were an odd couple. Before Meghan came back to me I was seeing a girl that was basically a clone of myself. She liked sports a lot and was the cheerleader type and everyone tought that we would get married. Then Meghan made herself available and I dropped the other girl so fast. We are different but thats what I liked about Meghan. She was like a breath of fresh air and she has introduced me to new things and given me new ideas about life. She's a talented musician and loves the arts so our kids will get the best of both worlds! (She has also started liking sports a lot more since we've been married.)
The other thing I liked about Meghan was her values. I could tell that she had a big heart and that she really liked to make people feel good about themselves. I knew that she would be the perfect Mom for our kids because she would love them and teach them the right way. She's also good at being firm and holding her ground which is an important attribute for mothers.

Right now she takes care of two old people who give us free food and rent in return. She has really sacrificed a lot for our family so that I can get through school. Now a baby will be added into the mix so she will have three people to take care of. A lot will be required of her and I will be there to help in any way possible. Seeing how much she does for me really inspires me to be the best student and husband that I can be. She's worth every ounce of my effort.

I just want everyone to know that Megan is the best wife and most selfless person ever. I love her and appreciate evrything that she does. (She's also a very pretty lady!)

I won't say it...

...but I'm glad she did, since I really DO try to refrain from anything political on this blog.

Maybe not ALL of my sentiments EXACTLY, but a good start. :O) I just found it interesting, considering the double standards that take place.

Jay and Bean

Meet Bay and Jean. Or as sometimes is said by the slip of the tongue, "jay and bean" They are the elderly couple for whom I caretake. Today was their 30th anniversary (both second marriage due to early death for their spouses) and so we tried to give them a little hooplah since it is really difficult to take them anywhere. We had a scrumptious meal and I clipped some flowers from their rose bushes. We sprinkled rose petals all over the table and ate by candlelight! It was a surprise to Jean. It was so cute because Bay is quite forgetful, but when I told him dinner was almost ready, he ran to the bedroom to get a little more dressed up for his sweetheart. :O) Changing is no quick ordeal either, so he really means business! Anyway, it was fun to be able to celebrate a little with them.

And there are a few pics at the shower

It's been a while, I know

I have had a TON going on but not much time! Finally, I am dropping everything I have to do so that I can update some blog and load some pictures. I had a FANTABULASTIC week last week and want to share the results (even though my camera is crud...or the person behind it doesn't know how to use it--I'm not sure which one yet.)

I'll start with this past weekend. Dev's family came into town for the Romney Reunion. We have our t-shirts here (and you can see my updated pregnant belly)...

Dev and his brothers went four-wheeling....and I went on a ride for a bit as well. Don't worry, nothing bumpy~! I wasn't ready to have the baby last weekend so I didn't think it wise to force myself too much into pre-term labor. Dev decided to drive right through a mud pit. I don't think this really shows the results that well, but he thought I looked really goofy so he wanted a pic! He took a few others but I may or may not decide to include them on this blog.

Other things Dev and his brothers did this weekend: Rafted down the Provo river, went bowling, played soccer (I did for a while until I pulled a muscle), played football, and lots of other ACTIVE stuff! I was working, so I didn't go with them, but we all had a good time with them here!

I hadn't put a picture up yet of our crib. Here is one.

The weekend before Trevor's homecoming, we went to Park City on a date and rode up the ski-lift to the top of the mountain for a picnic. :O) It was a great time!

Dev can't resist making funny faces. I can rarely get him to smile, cuz he hates pictures but if he HAS to take them, he wants to make them funny-looking.

As for Trevor's homecoming, it was WONDERFUL! I just LOVED being able to go home for it and am EXTREMELY grateful to my wonderful husband for taking on so much at our home so that I could make it there.

The four kids all together again at last!

Me and my VERY handsome missionary brother!

When we got home from the airport, we were all anxious to see if Trevor's dog, Sparky, would remember him. He did and WENT CRAZY he was SO excited to see Trevor! We were all very happy :O)
Next thing Trevor decided to do was take a dive into the swimming pool....IN HIS SUIT (he had just been released by President Asay)! My camera isn't very quick at snapping pictures, so this is not as great as JaNae's, but still fun! What a cute idea!

We did SO many fun things and it was truly a blessing to hear Trevor's testimony and report as he came home from his mission! He really enjoyed serving the people of Australia! And we are proud of him and LOVE HIM!

Dallin and Byrin also had their volleyball banquet for their undefeated year! Congrats guys! I just had to get a picture with each one of my champions!
